Weekend Events/Halloween's Little Devils

We spent the weekend touring the islands and visiting assorted grand and great-grandparents. It started with a trip to Sooke where we went for a walk on the Whiffen Spit with Opa, and then to Salt Spring where Finlay finally met his namesake in Great Grandpa. Both kids got along marvelously with him!


While still a little too young to go trick or treating, the kids still donned custom made devil bibs (courtesy of their Mum) in the spirit of the day today. Ironically enough, their behaviour seemed to emulate the bibs for most of the day!!

This Week's Pics

Here's a few pics of bathtime - we've graduated to the big tub! We seem to enjoy being fully submerged a little more than using our kiddy tub, which means we stay in longer and relax more, which means Mum and Dad get to relax more... :)

New weigh-in results!

Well, it's official - Finlay now weighs more than Spike! We went to see Dr. B today and the weights are in:

Fin is now a hefty 10\4. That's right, 10 pounds, 4 ounces! (Spike weighs 10 pounds even...)

Ainsley isn't too shabby herself at 8\11.

Both have a clean bill of health (we left the office for the first time free of prescriptions and/or referrals for specialists) and are still in the 97th percentile for size.

The other big news is that they are starting to hint at a 4 hour feeding schedule (as opposed to the arguous 3) and Fin has even slept for 5 hours straight, twice! We may sleep again one day soon!

Sorry for the lack of posts for the past couple of weeks - too much of the day-to-day going on and not enough stuff interesting enough to photograph or talk about.

The list of specialists for Fin continues to grow.

We now have an appointment with a dermatologist tomorrow because his diaper rash/thrush/infection on his butt is gettin' real nasty. Ainsley has it as well, but nowhere near as bad as the boy. At this point he is already almost surpassing me in total healthcare specialists seen in a lifetime - and he's not even a month old yet. Crazy.

Anywho, here is quite possibly the cutest picture ever taken by anyone anywhere. Fin loves those socks! Then also see Ainsley being her calm introspective self.
